Terms of Use
These Terms govern your use of Heptavo (the "app"), published by Lars Haneveld. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms.
Use of the app
Heptavo is provided for personal, non-commercial use as a study aid for IB Diploma students. You may use it on any device you own, subject to Apple's Usage Rules in the App Store Terms of Service. The questions, explanations, mark schemes and figures in the app are original content written for Heptavo; you may not copy, extract, redistribute or resell them.
Free plan
Every course is available without payment: the first three rungs of the Learn ladder in every sub-topic, study sets, progress and statistics, with no daily limit. These limits may change; the current limits are always shown in the app.
Heptavo Pro
Heptavo Pro is an optional upgrade, available as a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription, or as a one-time purchase called Exam Pass (lifetime access). Pro unlocks rungs 4 and 5 of the Learn ladder, exam practice written to exam standard with full mark schemes, Insights, study plans and the exam-paper style. One purchase covers every course you take.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
- The yearly plan may start with a free trial. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in Settings ▸ [your Apple Account] ▸ Subscriptions.
- Exam Pass is a single payment and does not renew.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms.
No warranty
Heptavo is provided "as is". Questions are written to reflect the published IB syllabus, but we do not guarantee that they are error-free, that they match any specific examination, or that using the app will produce any particular grade.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lars Haneveld is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body or health.
Changes
We may update the app and these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Apple's standard EULA
Where these Terms are silent, Apple's standard End User License Agreement applies.
